It is no fairy wonder that as a man thinketh so he is, but these days most of the speaking is done on the phones through chatting with a bunch of tech emojis. What do you type? What lies in your Heart and does your Mouth speak of Good or Bad?
Do you preach the Word of God? Do you motivate others with your words or you are an outright bully or you end up forwarding falsehood, a bunch of unverified tales?
Remember these words from Proverbs 15:28-29; The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things. The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.;
Are you in a haste of quick reply or forwarding? What is it that you are replying to and with what temperament are you replying with? Would you need a delete button now or later? But how about you commit to restrain and patience, how about you employ wisdom as you type or want to forward before you do.
I can understand that sometimes the rage goes high, the tempers get raised and you are in a haste to defend an honour that has been built, but would you use haste to break down what has been carefully built?
In a letter of Paul in Colossians 4:6; Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. This admonishes you to weigh your words. Hasten to commit your reply and forwarding finger tips to careful reasoning.
You need the wisdom of God to be able to live such a life, a life above reproach and it only starts when you fear the Lord your God. Didn’t the Bible state that the fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom?
What lies in your Heart and does your Mouth speak of Good or Bad?
Dear LORD please grant me your wisdom to be able to decipher between which I must answer and that which I must ignore. Let my words speak of your good, drive conviction into the heart of people and motivate others to live according to your ways.
