Why Should You Advertise On TikTok?
In 2019, TikTok incorporated ads to its platform and big corporations like Nike and Universal Pictures have used TikTok to create distinct campaigns that drive huge numbers of impressions.
We must sound this warning before we proceed. TikTok isn’t the right advertising platform for every brand.
To know if the platform is right for you, answer the following questions:
Who Is Your Target Audience? If you’re targeting millennials, then TikTok is right for you. 66% of TikTok users are under the age of 30 and 41% fall between 16 to 24.
You won’t benefit much if your target audience is significantly older.
Can You Afford It? It costs $10 per CPM (which is expensive) to advertise on TikTok. CPM here is technically ‘cost per millie’ but referred to as ‘Cost Per Thousand Impressions”
In a lay man’s term, CPM is the expense incurred for every thousand potential customers that view your advertisement.
You need a minimum of $500 for a good ad campaign on TikTok.
