The concept of salvation has as usual been skewed to mean only one thing, to turn away from sin or born again. But such a limitation of definition tends to limit the view of the Christian in relation to what they should except from the Lord.\n\n\n\nThe Concept Of Salvation\n\n\n\nThe simplest definition of salvation is to be delivered (or rescued) from peril. The word took a bit more of a shape when I figured out it was connected with the preacher telling us we needed to \u201cget saved.\u201d The most common meaning of salvation is to be saved by God from the consequences of our sin. But the Bible speaks of our salvation in a bit fuller terms than simply being rescued from hell. \n\n\n\nUnless believers get the real rational behind God's idea of salvation, we will be limited in our faith and expectations.\n\n\n\nSalvation is a whole package.
