Praise the Lord! This is probably what you use as a jargon, an everyday church saying but permit me to explain to you the seriousness of the act. I urge you to Praise the Lord like you mean it and not as a Chorus!
Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.– Psalms 103:1
Be reminded that to praise the Lord is and must be done with much zeal, fervency, wholeheartedness and single-mindedness.
What is a sham it is to be yelling Praise the Lord when deep down in your heart you do not mean it!
All of creations obeys the Lord and praises Him, the animals, birds and fishes make single(monotonous) sounds( All of your works will thank you, Lord, and your faithful followers will praise you. – Psalms 145:10) and cannot speak the multiplicity of words and sounds you and I can make yet they Praise the Lord and we cannot stomach to do same.
What is wrong with mankind? Why can’t we stay in line and even realise that the breath we even have is a gift from the Lord, what better appreciation is there than to Praise Him wholeheartedly all day?
The heavens proclaim the glory of God.The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.
They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard.
There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.
Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. – Psalms 19:1-4.
You can continue at your own ways but remember to read Romans 1:19-31 and whiles at it, you would want to answer the question; What role do you have to play in this Praising the Lord job?
Dear Lord, May I never stop praising your name wholeheartedly.
