A student of Ecole Francaise Akdel on weekdays and professional makeup artist on weekends, Paris is the girl who’s upending the beauty industry in Ghana with paints, brushes and palettes.
“I love seeing people look beautiful. Makeup changes one’s look” she says.
Paris who decided to learn how to make people up professionally two years ago has turned her passion into a business. She has gone commercial with her makeup gigs and she says business has been good.
What business idea did you think of when you were fourteen?
Makeup they say has always been fashion’s poor cousin. It is secreted away in bathrooms and back rooms while fashion whizzes out on the runways and red carpets.
Applying makeup is a pantomime of art, an art young Krystal Paris Clegg is mastering one day at a time.

Did you know Paris was the sole makeup are for Ghanaian actress, writer and movie producer Ms Juliet Asante during the Black Star International Film Festival recently held in Accra?
“I am very passionate about my education so I make sure my business doesn’t conflict with my school work. I have a timetable that i follow. As a businesswoman, it is good I attain the highest form of education to enable me to make the right decisions”
Currently, Paris is learning how to do pedicure and manicure because she has plans to open a modern salon in future and also has plans to venture into the world fashion design.
She also organises makeup and facial classes as well..
Isn’t her mind brilliant?
When she isn’t making people glow, she’s probably playing the piano, or playing tennis or swimming.
A kid with many talents.
Paris expressed her appreciation to her family especially her mum Mrs Sandra Clegg, who has been very supportive.
Mrs Clegg said “Paris is a very good girl. I give her a lot of pressure… I know where I’m coming from and the things I missed and if God has blessed me with this child, I can only support her to achieve her dreams”
