God speaks and is always speaking to us, if for some reason you cannot hear then you are deaf.
There is no nicer way to put it, but surely you must be deaf if you cannot hear the voice of your Maker, your Creator, your God. Why do you pray and not wait to hear Him speak with you? Isn’t prayer supposed to be a communication? Are you not speaking to God so He can speak back to you.
You are no different from Adam and Eve, neither are you different from Moses, in fact once you are a Christian then you are co-heir of the Throne of God sanctioned by Christ Jesus.
If Christ Jesus hears the voice of the Father and He boldly stated that I and My Father are One, then indeed you are one with the Father too. You can hear, if you walk like Christ.
Samuel in 1 Samuel 3:1-7 tells us how he heard the voice of the Lord prior to Samuel’s encounter, there had been Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and then came Moses’ encounter.
When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!”
And Moses said, “Here I am.”
“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. – Exodus 3:4-6.
God Speaks? Yes, He does! It should not take you to be a prophet to hear His voice but it takes Obeying and Abiding in Him and above all have fellowship with Him. Even the Word of God speaks only if your will read and meditate on it.
Dear Father, I know you are always speaking. I am ready to hear and obey your every instruction and perform your every command. Please speak to and with me.
