I’m not a medical expert but the decision to continue the season makes absolutely no sense. We’re in the middle of a pandemic with no clear sign of it coming to an end. How is now any different to when the season was postponed a month ago? If anything it’s worse. I miss watching Manchester United play and I know we all miss our various sports team play week in week out but the question still remains; how is now different to when the season was postponed? I miss football. I miss a lot of things. But starting football back or ending the lockdown now defeats the purpose of the effort the entire nation/s has gone to for the last month. End lockdown now and start football back up and we’ll be back to square one. Not to mention the additional strain bringing back a competitive sport with thousands involved would put on the already stretched various NHS. More tests constantly needed, more medical staff on hand at games, possible infections etc. Are we ready to risk it for bragging rights that I won the 2020/2021 season? It’s boring. We’re all bored. If you want normal life to resume then stay home and continue to take precautionary measures - football included. Key workers, NHS, delivery drivers - nobody in Ghana and the world right now can thank you enough. Stay home, you will literally save lives. We all agree that the decision to continue the season makes no sense. Keep staying safe during this covid-19 lockdown.
