A friend asked me, “Do you know somebody who’s failed at business over and over again? Why do you think that is?”I answered first by saying, failure is delay not defeat.
The multimillionaire Grant Cardone comes to mind. Today he is one of the most successful businessmen in the world. Read his book called The 10X Rule!
Why; Like I have always proclaimed the media has done a terrible job of telling us what success looks like. They pick someone who is a success in their business and paint a picture of an easy ride. They leave out the mess.
Someone once said “Failure is like fertilizers they stink but they make the plants grow”
“It’s failure that gives you the proper perspective on success.”Ellen DeGeneres
Pretty much most successful people I have read about including Elon Musk have failed so many times before they became successful.
What about Mark Zuckerburg? – Do you think FaceBook was his first crack at making a social site? Do you know that FaceBook was created just 5 months after he failed at his last effort?
Why so many failures?: This is what I have learned from these people
#1 You cannot succeed without failing. Failure is the real educator. Nothing makes you a better businessman/woman like “Failure”.
Sadly many people desire to be businessmen and woman but are sitting on the sidelines until they are absolutely sure of success. You will still be seating there in 20 years waiting for the perfect time.
“Failure is so important. We speak about success all the time. It is the ability to resist failure or use failure that often leads to greater success. I’ve met people who don’t want to try for fear of failing.”J.K. Rowling
#2 Successful people have learned to fail quicker than they used to. Many ideas you have in your head are going to fail or at least they are not going to work the way you have it right now.
The quicker you fail the sooner you tweak for success
#3 Business is a marathon – Failure is the filter! It is what distinguishes those who really want to succeed from those who do not.
The more you fail and get up; the stronger you build your “Success Muscles” Rather than avoiding failure successful people run towards it because they realize it is the way to success
“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.”Robert F. Kennedy
Come on get up and fail quickly – learn from them – reach for success!
