The birth, death and resurrection of Jesus is a Charge to carry the torch of Jesus Christ to all for their salvation just as you have been saved by privilege.
Your salvation, your being born again and your being in the family of Christ means that you are ready to serve, to work for the kingdom, to be a slave in the LORD’s vineyard.
Be reminded that Christ did not die and resurrect so we could spend our days in pursuit of worldly desires and passions; no that is not what the freedom is for. We are to continue in putting His priorities first then He will give us what we need; He knows our every need.
Did Jesus Christ not charge you to; “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” – Mark 16:15, yes if you are truly saved and have a part of Him to be called a Christian then Christ is urging you to “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations” – Matthew 28:19a
I would want to ask at this point; How many years since you called yourself a Christian and Born Again? Ever since your new title, how many people have you preached the Good News to? Do you always come to sit in the congregation to still be viewer or you came to be a worker for the gospel?
Stop being a baby and get to work, Carry the Torch of Jesus Christ to All for their Salvation.
When a person finds salvation, his entire household, neighbourhood and people they come into contact with must benefit from it. Where are your works since you became a Christian? After your being born again is your family also saved or you are still going back and forth on the very sins Christ was born, died and resurrected for?
What are you supposed to be carrying the torch for? What is your role?
It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, Or all peoples. beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’ You are witnesses of all these things. – Luke 24:47,48.
Your role is to share what you have experienced and the things you are enjoying in your new life. The struggles surfaces when you refuse to grow as you ought to be but marking time, learning nothing. Your ability to impact gets limited and thus you are doing the salvation you got a disservice.
Acts 1:8 strictly charges you to be witness to the benefits you have by providing the opportunity for others to accept Jesus Christ. Peter, the leader of the disciples took the charge and did run the race and finished his course – 1 Peter 5:1.
What are you doing with the torch you have been handed through His birth, death and resurrection? I urge you to Carry the Torch of Jesus Christ to All for their Salvation.
Dear LORD, Strengthen me with your might and equip me with your wisdom to proclaim The Good News to the ends of the Earth in fulfilment of my Duty as a worker in your vineyard.
