Second half goals from Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey gave Ghana a 2 – 0 win over Guinea-Bissau, in the process, topping Group F at the Afcon 2019.
Qualification was in the balance for Ghana after draws from their opening two games. Jordan Ayew’s second goal of the competition gave Ghana a 46th-minute lead. Guinea- Bissau hit the post and bar three times as they were unlucky to get a goal.
Guinea-Bissau almost broke the deadlock in the 17th minute when Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori unconvincingly tipped Piqueti’s strike against his crossbar.
The Black Stars in the 36th minute hit the base of Jonas Mendes’ right-hand post after MubaWakaso brilliantly released Jordan Ayew with a lofted pass.

Thomas Partey finished from close range with 18 minutes to play after Baba Rahman stayed onside and cut the ball back across goal to give Partey a simple finish.
Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso was the Man Of The Match.
The win means holder Cameroon face Nigeria in the next round of the AFCON 2019 after they drew 0 – 0 with Benin.
