I had this perception about Rotaract before I decided to become a guest to their meeting back in 2010 at Ho Polytechnic. That night, all the wrong impressions were swept away. Thank you, my friend, Peter Wiafe Nkansah Jr for inviting me.\n\n\n\nIn school, I mistakenly thought the Rotaract Club was a preserve of the rich, well-doing, and privileged. I later found out that members had a philanthropic heart and are selfless people.\n\n\n\nI have climbed from just a member, to Male Organizer, Treasurer, Vice President, President and now a Past President for the Rotaract Clubs of Ho Polytechnic and Osu-RE respectively. \n\n\n\n Rotaract Clubs are society-unification-mechanisms. We often have different opinions of socio-economic, religious and political perspectives as people. Rotary was founded on fellowship, an ideal that remains a major attraction of membership today. Club members enjoy the companionship with like-minded professionals, and club projects offer additional opportunities to develop enduring friendships. Club members who travel have friendly contacts in almost every city in the world. \n\n\n\nHappy Rotaractors\n\n\n\nLeadership Development\n\n\n\nLeadership is all about learning how to motivate, influence and lead leaders. Team building, fundraising, public speaking, planning, organization, and communication are just a sampling of the leadership skills that club members can exercise and enhance. Being a club leader provides further experience in learning how to motivate, inspire, and guide others. Members can participate in the three day Rotary Leadership Institute courses offered at various times during the year. \n\n\n\nFrom one President to another\n\n\n\nEntertainment & Fun\n\n\n\nSocial activities give members a chance to let loose and have fun. Rotaract is a cross-section of the world's most prominent citizens who are aware of their cultures and have developed a love of working with people everywhere. They become better citizens of their countries in the process.\n\n\n\nRotaract Members\n\n\n\nAbsence of an Rotaract Official Creed\n\n\n\nThe organization has no secret handshake, no official creed, no secret meetings or rituals. It is an open society of men and women who simply believe in helping others.\n\n\n\nPublic Speaking Skills\n\n\n\nMany individuals who joined this club pr organization were uncomfortable about speaking in public.
