Now unlike movies, you get to learn for far longer and see more evolved persons and scenarios. Here are 11 TV Series to watch if you want to be a better business person.

Headlined by the great Bobby Axelrod, Billions is about the hedge fund business, how a fast paced organised workplace functions and the deft deals and shafting that happen in that shark infested world. Billions will teach you the reality of business, and how thinking quick and acting fast is the only way to win and stay ahead.
2. MAD MEN
Goodness, this series is everything. You get to understand how the behind-the-scenes of an advertising agency works. You’ll learn about marketing and advertising angles, and why unlike most people think, the most important people in your company are those who sell.
I haven’t laughed as much watching a TV series as I have watching Ari Gold and his side kick, personal assistant, Lloyd. Ari has the best one-liners I have seen on TV. You’ll learn how deals are made, how they can falter and how they are again pieced together.
4. SHARK TANK (and it’s boring UK cousin, Dragons’ Den)
Budding inventors come on to pitch their product or service idea, seeking a investment into their business in exchange for an ownership stake in their company and they are put through fire. You’ll learn how investors think, see how deals are presented, analysed and sold. The best thing about both shows is you’ll observe first hand profitable business ideas you can borrow and piggyback off on (Hello Alibaba!). Some guys make millions from ideas presented on those shows without ever being on it.
5. THE PROFIT
Hosted by Marcus Lemonis, the billionaire founder of Camping World, who goes on the hunt for struggling businesses that are desperate for cash and ripe for a deal. During the show, Lemonis makes an offer that’s impossible to refuse; his cash for a piece of the business and a percentage of the profits, after doing his due diligence of course. Once the owners agree to a deal, he’ll goes all out to do almost anything to save the business and make himself a profit. Sometimes its firing the CEO, promoting staff or doing the work himself.
6. HOW I MADE MY MILLIONS
The show takes viewers behind the scenes of million dollar earning businesses to reveal how everyday people have taken their regular ideas and turned them into extremely profitable businesses. Each company featured has passed the magic $1 million mark.
7. BAR RESCUE
If you are in the bar and/or nightclub business, watch this. In each episode, Jon Taffer, a nightlife consultant who has started, owned or sold more than 600 bars/clubs, helps transform a struggling bar into a vibrant, profitable business, utilizing his expertise.
8. KITCHEN NIGHTMARES
If you are in the food business, this is the one show to watch. Gordon Ramsey will set you straight. Enough said.
9. BREAKING BAD
Chronicles the meteoric rise (and fall) of Walter White — a chemistry teacher turned drug dealer. The main takeaway for entrepreneurs is that success can happen fast if you dedicate yourself to quality, but if you sacrifice integrity along the way, bad things can happen to you.
10. THE SOPRANOS
The Mafia always have great business lessons. This one packs lots of it, with plenty of violence.
11. TED Talks
